Designer Handbags- NYC
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a product line representative of the brand. This candidate will study markets, shop retail, prepare flat sketches, develop prints/graphics and interact with consumers to establish trends. They will source and choose materials for samples and attend trade shows. College Degree in the arts preferred. 3 - 5 years experience for the fashion forward, trendy consumer required. Sketching ability on the computer is required.
Part-Time Showroom Assistant
This part-time position requires a polished, energetic and enthusiastic individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary at our New York City Showroom. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Must be available to work on Wednesdays.
Production Associate- NYC
The ideal candidate will support the Production Manager in all services necessary for the basic operation of the production department. This person will be responsible for the flow of product between vendors and factories and will coordinate shipments with agents and warehouses. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and AS400. High School Diploma or equivalent required with 2-4 years experience in production.
Product Development Coordinator- NYC
The ideal candidate will work on all aspects of Overseas and Domestic production for handbags, belts and SLG. This candidate will work with sales and design in pre and post support capacity to assist in the production process. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2-4 years of related experience required. AS400 and production experience with Target a plus.
Sales Coordinator
The ideal candidate will manage specified accounts with independent, specialty, and major department stores. They will enter and check orders, coordinate delivery of goods and maintain excellent customer relations with accounts and sales representatives. 2 - 4 years experience required with a Bachelor's degree and retail experience preferred.
Graphic Web Designer
The ideal candidate is responsible for the design, layout, and implementation for the Steve Madden website, wholesale partners, digital media, social media and blog site. They will collaborate with others to develop and design digital concepts in line with established strategies. BFA or BA with design focus required. 3+ years of graphic/web design experience in the fashion industry or agency setting. Must have knowledge of web design, online marketing strategies, and banner design. Mac Platform required. Experience in print design and production a plus.
Associate Planner
The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting in the analyzing and forecasting of sales. They will gather and input selling information as well as evaluate economic trends in forecasting future business needs. They will analyze and forecast customer sales, selling plans, receipt plans, markdowns, turn and gross margin. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in planning or related field required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to draw conclusions and voice an opinion with confidence.
