Designers for Darfur

Steve Madden was the presenting sponsor for the Designers for Darfur charity fashion show on February 9th aimed to raise funds and awareness on behalf of the Save Darfur Coalition. This unprecedented charity fashion show, which closed New York City's Fashion Week, was founded by designer Malcolm Harris and model Lydia Hearst-Shaw, in association with Steve Madden, and fashion television. The Livinhi, Ntrigue, and Lolly in black patent all went down the runway paired with ensembles created specifically for the event by over 70 of America's leading designers including Michael Kors, Donna Karan, L.A.M.B., Nanette Lepore, and Catherine Malandrino! A gorgeous, one of a kind Steve Madden dress was also featured on the runway. The dress, beautifully crafted with beads in the colors of the African Flag, was designed exclusively for this show. Following the unprecedented fashion show, there was an Ebay 'live auction' of these specially-created runway looks with 100% of all profits going directly to the Save Darfur Coalition.
