Some songs are just destined to get stuck in your head. So is the case for Seasons. The song has an infectious beat that is reminiscent of our favorite pop-synth bands of the 80’s. Although they’ve been playing together for nearly 10 years, Future Islands is quickly gaining notoriety, and hopping on the festival bandwagon. Having just performed at SXSW, the band is going on a national tour and is stated to play at Coachella for their first time in April. Future Islands’ fourth album, Singles, will be released March 25th, and has a perfect balance of upbeat dance tunes and soulful slow-jams.
It’s one thing to rock out to the Baltimore trio in the comfort of your own home, but seeing them live is a whole different experience. If you managed to catch their performance on Letterman earlier this month, you’ll know that frontman Samuel T. Herring’s hypnotic dance moves and transfixing stage presence are the talk of the internet. Trust us--this particular jam will have you itching to ride into the sunset on horseback, or, at the very least, set out on a cross-country road tip. Check out the video to “Seasons” below.
