With a fierce combination of melody driven pop dipped in post-nu wave production, it took only a short moment for Grammy nominated, LA-based Shiny Toy Guns to begin its quick rise to common recognition.    In 2006, the band released their debut album "We Are Pilots" on Universal Motown Records.   Radio raced forward with their singles "Le Disko", "Rainy Monday", and "You Are The One" on modern rock, pop and college formats.  Consistent airplay and relentless touring resulted in record sales approaching half a million, an amazing feat in the era of Napster.   But by 2008, chief songwriters Chad Petree and Jeremy Dawson were eager to try a new direction in their sound and songwriting.   They experimented with a line-up change and traded a large portion of their signature soundscape synth-driven pop for brooding guitar riffs and haunting instrumentals.  This sophomore album titled Season of Poison grew their fan base even wider and continued to make artistic and creative strides with increased commercial success, with two top 20 rock radio singles Ricochet! and Ghost Town, and a staggering number of songs to film/TV/commercials/video games.
