Treasure Hunt

If there is one item every girl should have in her closet, it's a trusty pair of platforms. I’m obsessed with platforms at the moment: they make legs look long and lean, they give you the perfect amount of height, and they’re a no-brainer to walk in. These Steve Madden GAGGA platforms are insane- the gold detailing and sexy lace-ups add just enough pizazz to an ordinary outfit.

On today's Treasure Hunt, I’m pairing the GAGGA with one-of-a-kind vintage finds. My first stop is Villains Vintage, in Orange, CA. This store has a well-rounded mixture of clothing from every decade. You can find an awesome selection of vintage tees and maxi dresses.

I found the perfect crop top at Villains Vintage- a classic Contempo number from the 90s.  I paired this gem with a sheer, pleated midi-skirt I found at Savers. The GAGGA platforms dress up my minimal, monochromatic look by creating the perfect balance of edge and feminine flair.  I added tons of gold jewelry and a bold statement hat to top off my look.

My second stop was Savers, in Arcadia, CA. It’s a large community Thrift Store with everything you could possibly need. Savers isn’t your average thrift store. With highly organized racks, Savers makes for a pleasant shopping experience.

Last year, I went through a total tomboy phase. This year, I've vowed to add more feminine pieces to my wardrobe. I found an amazing sheer, black and white graphic mini dress and paired it with a chunky gold necklace.

My final score was a really cool vintage 2-piece set. The print has a Versace-inspired vibe that really caught my eye. A 2-piece set is the perfect summer go-to.

Words of wisdom: don't become overwhelmed by the madness of thrifting. Take your time and check out every aisle- you never know what is hiding around the corner.  See you guys on our next Treasure Hunt!
